Chairman
Since our opening in July 2003 we have provided very professional palliative and respite care to residents of Toowoomba and the surrounding districts.

During my day-to-day activities I receive many accolades for the Toowoomba Hospice which I am very proud to accept as a reflection on the efficient procedures we have in place and the team of professional and dedicated staff and volunteers working at the Toowoomba Hospice.

It is heartening to see the continued support from service clubs, community groups, businesses, schools, churches and individuals who assist with raising much needed funds.

I wish to thank everyone for their support and friendship over the years and we look forward to many more successful years.

Graham Barron OAM

Founder
It is surprising to realise that we have been in operation for over five years. These have been years full of challenges, sadness as well as of joy but above all of privilege. We are indeed privileged to be allowed to accompany our clients on the most important part of their life’s journey. It is also a tremendous joy to be able to support families at a most emotionally challenged time of loss and bereavement.

The work of funding the running of the Hospice will always be ongoing and we are indeed very grateful for the magnificent work of all those who continue to raise such funds. We are also aware of the tremendous support from all our volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the Hospice working at peak performance at all times.

We are now in the happy situation of being able to give encouragement to others who, are endeavouring to set up a hospice in their own communities as we have done not so long ago. It is very satisfying to see the great work of compassion and unconditional love ever growing across our land.

Director of Nursing
The nursing staff at the Toowoomba Hospice are dedicated to providing a loving, caring and supportive environment to clients and their families. We encourage a home-like, family atmosphere and like everyone to feel welcome during their stay. Everyday we are supported by Volunteers who give their time freely and willingly to the life of the Hospice. Without the very generous support of our community, volunteers and staff, our Hospice would not be able to provide the support that is needed in one of the most stressful times in people’s lives. For me it is a privilege to work at the Toowoomba Hospice, a truly rewarding experience, to be part of a dedicated team of individuals making a difference to many people in our community.

Promotions and Finance Manager
The Toowoomba Hospice offers a high standard of care to all our clients but in order to maintain this level we need to access all avenues of funding.

The local community and businesses were generous during the establishment phase of the Hospice and we hope that this support will continue in helping us to maintain our policy of providing a free service to the people of Toowoomba and the surrounding region.
